BACKGROUND:
Ty-lo's 3rd album released June 28th, 2011 also the 3rd album released off Ty-lo's independent record label Fresh Records Ent. Its the final part of the "Misunderstood Series". Some of Ty-lo's best work thus far and much different then the previous albums. "Misunderstood 3" contains great production from a majority of producers from Soundclick and deals with subjective lyrics concerning themes of fame, self-examination, and love. After "Misunderstood 2" didn't do as hopefully expected commercially. Ty-lo decited to lay off 2 more planned singles and start fresh with a new album. Not even sure if he should continue with a "Misunderstood 3" title. Ty-lo graduated from Providence Senior High class of 2010. Right after this Ty-lo began a new journey by moving to Virginia to be close to his family. This time around he wanted to go in a different direction with this album still calling it "Misunderstood 3". Inspired by today's Pop Radio songs in the Music world, Ty-lo stated he would be releasing a new album with a more "Pop feel". This means he would show off more of his talent by more singing and songwriting different types of music as well as keep his orginial style. Now being in Virginia full time Ty-lo reached out to his good friend. Grammy-Award Winning Engineer David Castle owner of Castle Recording in Castlewood, va. He helped record, mix, and master a lot of songs from the previous "Misunderstood 1 ansd 2" albums but this time they would do the whole "Misunderstood 3" together. The two got started immediately making hit record after hit record. The teamwork was better then ever with the two as well. About 8 months after "Misunderstood 2" dropping on Nov. 2nd "Give You My All" was released as the first single to "Misunderstood 3". The song is produced and featuring up and coming singer/producer Tyree Thomas from Atlanta. The song proved up to the standards of a Pop/R&B/Hip Hop Radio record. Ty-lo stated this song is one of his absolute best and that "Misunderstood 3" will be his best album yet! As good as the last 2 combined. "Donkey Kong Country" came out about 28 days later. Its more of a heavy club joint just like "My Swag So Fresh" and "Stackz Of Cash". The song was produced by Vybe Beatz the same producers as "Stackz Of Cash". "Donkey Kong Country" was inspired mostly by the video game which Ty-lo is a fan of and to show off lyrical skills. For a very breif moment at this time the album's title would be changed to "Ty-lo's Modern Life" but quickly of course it had to be changed back to the old title giving the fans what they deserve. Both "Give You My All" and "Donkey Kong Country" became quickly big hits on YouTube where now since Myspace is now unpopular he releases his singles. On New Years day "Keep On" was released as the 2nd single and was highly praised by its dance/pop theme along with Ty-lo's singing and fast rapping. This was when it was reported that all singles would be Pop/Radio inspired songs. "Intimate" came out Valentine's Day 2011 as the 3rd single with very positive feedback from fans. The album was coming together very well so planning for a June 7th, 2011 was in order. Until Ty-lo was still in a creative process he decided for June 28th to become the official release for the "Misunderstood 3. He thought summer was the best time to release new music to he public. After monthly promotion for these four major singles, writing and recording was coming to a wrap. Planning for the next single was in order as Ty-lo was unsure on what to release he thought he'd go into a different direction. "3 Pointers And Dunkin" was released. This song did not in fact have a Pop feel but a Waka Flocka Flame/Lex Luger type feel. Along with this single came out the Album Cover. The plan is to put out plenty of more singles. "Misunderstood 3" is dedicated to Ruthie, Ty-lo's recent girlfriend. Ty-lo met her after he moved to Va and the two got very close. He stated that she has surported him like no one else has and for that it is only right that this album is dedicated to her. "Misunderstood 3" is focused mostly on the rapper's life taking right after the last album til now focusing a lot on getting used to new surroundings and on new styles of music. This is Ty-lo's final album to be called "Misunderstood". With that said still plenty of albums to come from Ty-lo Be Chillin. The next single will be "Music Take Over", which is said to be one of the bbiggest highlights from the CD. It is due to be released as a single in August! According to fans and critics, "Misunderstood 3" received great positive reviews. Stating the album juggling the 3 genres Hip Hop, Pop, and R&B so well its crazy! Great feedback also aimed at Ty-lo's songwriting that it has improved along with great sound quality very well polished! Misunderstood
Ty-lo's 1st album released August 25, 2009 also the first album to be released off Fresh Records Ent. Its Part 1 out of a 3 part series. Feburary 2009 Ty-lo released a street single "Whats A Goon" to inform people of the album. The first official single "My Swag So Fresh" was released in March. Once this happened the song took Charlotte by storm everyone was feeling this commercial/catchy song which made the album and Ty-lo create a little buzz around with people in the city. Now people were siked for the album to drop. Ty-lo didn't have an idea for a release date but put out 3 fresh new songs "Love You Down", "I Gotta Say" and the critically acclaimed "I Try" featuring label mate J5. Since this was his first album to the world, Ty-lo thought it would be best for a limited time to make it available free for the public. On August 25th the first day of his senior year in high school the album was released. With all this said the album and the single "My Swag So Fresh' made Ty-lo a maga star at Providence High School and around the area. He was crowned Reverse Homecoming King and was able to perform at the Homcoming Pep Rally. The album made mostly positive reviews from fans. Misunderstood 2
Ty-lo's 2nd album released April 20, 2010 also the second album to be released off Fresh Records Ent. Its Part 2 out of the 3 part series. Pretty much right after "Misunderstood" dropped Ty-lo went to work on his 2nd album with no time to spare. Fans that he had created from the first album were highy anticipating this project. Ty-lo was working harder making the album better then the last by changing the negatives of the last one. The album was pushed back because the studio were Ty-lo recored was being fixxed up so it was hard to make stuido time. Plus he wanted to let people to get a feel for the 1st album so they will get ready for this sequel. Finally Febuary 25, 2010 a song called "Dangerous" was released and was the 1st single to "Misunderstood 2". The single reached 660 plays on Ty-lo's myspace page in under 5 hours of its release. Ty-lo stated that "Misunderstood 2" was lookin at a May released date and that the album would be available on Itunes but this statment was latered changed with Ty-lo saying it wouldn't be able to go to Itunes but still it would cost a small fee. On his birthday Ty-lo dropped the 2nd single "Stackz Of Cash" stating "I'VE TOPPED MY SWAG SO FRESH" and said the release date of the album would be April 20th. As promotion for the album Ty-lo released a countdown on his YouTube channel of videos. When the album dropped people were giving positive feedback saying its much better then the first. Ty-lo describes the album as not quite as special as the first album but still a great album all the same . The 3rd single "Move It" dropped on the myspace page in June.
